Where is Camp Ritter?

We’ll be holding Camp Ritter in various places, including HQ on Tuesday and Thursday, Spooky Nook Sports on Wednesday, and the Hershey Lodge on Thursday evening.


Compensation & Travel

For what events will I be paid?

Ritter employees will receive compensation for any Camp Ritter event held during normal work hours, regardless of the location. This includes the offsite activities planned for Spooky Nook. Employees will not be paid for voluntary evening gatherings and activites.

On Thursday, we will end our day one hour early; however, you will be compensated for the full eight.


If I’m remote, will I be paid during travel and reimbursed for meals?

Yes, remote staff who are driving or flying to Harrisburg — you will be paid for any travel time that occurs outside of normal working hours. Please speak with your manager on how to log your hours.

Meals during travel are eligible for reimbursement. If you are remote and decide not to attend the party on Thursday night, you will not be reimbursed for dinner.


What about traveling to and from Spooky Nook Sports?

If you ride the bus from Ritter to Spooky Nook, you will be paid from the time the bus leaves HQ to the time the bus returns to HQ. If you take the bus to Spooky Nook you must stay the full duration of the event.

If you take the bus to the event but choose to carpool home before the end of the event, you will be paid from the time the bus leaves HQ until the time you leave Spooky Nook.

If you do not take the bus from the office and drive yourself to Spooky Nook, you will not be reimbursed for mileage. You will be paid from the time you arrive until you leave Spooky Nook.


Work Schedule

Are there certain times I need to work this week?

Yes, to facilitate a good experience for all, we’re asking that all staff follow this schedule:

Tuesday, May 21 at HQ

Mandatory office day starting at 8AM ET.

Wednesday, May 22 at Spooky Nook Sports

Bus leaves at 8AM ET. If you’re driving yourself, be there by 9AM ET. Day at Spooky Nook ends at 3:30PM ET.

Thursday, May 23 at HQ

Mandatory office day starting at 8AM ET. Day ends at 3:30PM ET to allow time for party preparation at Hershey Lodge.

Friday, May 24

All staff are required to work four hours between 8AM and 4:30PM ET. You will receive one hour of PTO to cover the remaining hour. Please work directly with your manager regarding your schedule that day.

Event Attendance

I’m not coming to Spooky Nook. Can I have a normal work day?

No. If you choose not to travel and participate in the events at Spooky Nook, then you will be required to utilize PTO for the day, as the office will be closed.


I can’t dedicate every evening to events. Which one should I plan to attend?

The party at Hershey Lodge on Thursday night!
